LOS ANGELES – Canadian singer-songwriter LØLØ, the stage name of Lauren Mandel, rocked out at The Roxy Theatre, giving a memorable and intimate fan experience during her god forbid a girl goes on tour! stretch in North America. Opening the October 11 show were Mylie Taylor, an alternative act who LØLØ toured with after so many years of hoping it would happen, as well as Sydney Sherrill, a New York City-based artist who also joined LØLØ during the Europe and UK run.
Sherrill kicked the night off with songs from her latest EP Live Me Down. It was a perfect blend—raw sweet-and-sour emotions combined with her rock melodies. Following her act was Taylor with alt-rock sounds. She reeled the audience in with hard-hitting references to emotional hardship we all face but don’t talk about enough. Most notably, Taylor covered Miley’s iconic song, The Climb.
The anticipation of LØLØ’s performance was already fast approaching, with fans eager to hear songs from god forbid a girl spits out her feelings! released in April. As LØLØ opened with the devil wears converse, the room flooded with jumps, screams, and lots of dancing that continued throughout the night. Her band matched the production smoothly, complimenting her in not only their outfits but the set display as a whole.
LØLØ’s most seminal moment came when performing debbie downer. She had mixed some stellar choreography with crowd work while tossing pom-poms into the crowd, enticing them to join her for this well-loved song. She made many memorable moments during this song, but she made someone's night unforgettable by inviting the fan on stage to be the cheer captain.
Incredible surprises continued to happen throughout the night. The pop rock star sang her version of Plain White T’s’ Hey There Delilah from Deliah’s point of view. Beyond that, stepping onto the stage was GUS, her last tour’s opener, providing fans to relive a run of 2025’s U TOUR ME ON. LØLØ also brought Taylor back on stage to perform together.
In the final few moments of the night, LØLØ’s LA show ended with high energy, keeping the audience wanting more and more. She had owned the stage at The Roxy Theatre, giving new and long-time fans a night to remember.
