Lost On You Tour with Tiger's Jaw, Pool Kids, & Bleary Eyed

DES MOINES, IOWA: The mild weather and clear skies on Thursday the 18th made for an easy journey to Wooly's in the historic East Village. As showtime grew nearer, dozens of ticket holders started filing through the entrance, many of whom were sporting shirts from the bands' previous tours.
The first act of the night was Philadelphia-based shoegaze band, Bleary Eyed, which originally began as a solo project started by singer Nate Salfi. Over the years, the act evolved into the four-piece that delivered a setlist jam-packed with tracks that were almost hypnotic, namely their 2023 single Upset, which showcased dreamy vocals from live guitarist Jessie Szegö. Towards the end of their performance they had the crowd up and moving with the more instrumental-driven Heaven Year, from their 2025 EP, Easy.
The time between sets was short, meaning that there was no time for the energy to die down before Pool Kids took the stage. When the group of indie math-rockers from Tallahassee, Florida stepped out from behind the curtains, the crowd immediately began to roar. They immediately jumped into I Hope You're Right, from their self-titled album. The second verse put the angelic and breathy vocals from front-woman, Christine Goodwyne, on display as she sang, “Right where you want to be / Minimum wage / The only people that are nice to you / Are getting paid”.
They played multiple songs from their most recent album and debut release with Epitaph Records, Easier Said Than Done. The audience didn’t disappoint, singing along to every word as the band transitioned from Last Word into Sorry Not Sorry.
During the second-to-last song, Talk Too Much, Goodwyne abandoned her guitar and launched herself into the crowd. She surfed across the room, mic in hand, and didn't hesitate to jump into the mosh pit that had opened up. As she made her way back towards the stage, she took the opportunity to sing with fans before heading into their closer, Conscious Uncoupling.
It wasn’t long before the headliners, Tigers Jaw, found their places on the stage. They began with It’s ok, the first track from their March 2026 release, Lost On You. The song holds onto the familiar poetic lyricism that many fans have grown to love over the years, closing out with a powerful final verse, “I am blood in the gums of a sensitive mouth / I am looking for peace till my lungs will give out”.
Afterwards, they hopped into tracks two and three from the album, Primary Colors and Heads Sinking Like A Stone, which had fans watching in awe. The middle of their set was marked by June from their 2017 album, spin. The lyrics of the song seemed perfectly fitting for the night of such a memorable show, having taken place only three days before the official start of summer: “Hold out for June, it brings new season / Vision is clear, your mind revealing / Pressing the flower in the page / Forever kept, a memory made”.
The group didn’t shy away from performing older works from their self-titled album and as the night came to a close, they played fan favorites such as Chemicals, Plank vs Tank vs Submarine, and I Saw Water. This tour’s lineup brought together a wonderful crossover of bands, showcasing each of their unique musical and lyrical styles. By the end of the night, it was clear that each group's respective fans had fallen in love with their favorite artists all over again, and perhaps even left the show with a new favorite joining their roster.
