Daffo put on an unforgettable show on Friday night, January 30th, 2026. They brought the stage to life performing songs from their debut album Where the Earth Bends as well as hits from previous EP’s. This is their Where the Earth Bends tour. The show was opened up by Earth to Tiffany first, where they gave a very moving and emotional performance singing songs that would resonate a lot with the audience and were very personal to them. They are an indie-folk singer with very beautiful music, and it was a great way to start the show.
Daffo is a band made up of 4 people. The main singer, Gabi Gamberg, the drummer, the guitarist, and the bassist. The show started with the first song on the album, Get a Life. Followed up by two more songs from the album, Absence Makes the Heart Grow and Sideways. The crowd was very energetic throughout the whole show, with many people yelling and dancing. I could tell from the enthusiasm how many longtime fans there were in the audience that night. Gabi even said that the Chicago audience was one of the best crowds throughout the whole tour.
The show continued with a few songs from previous years, such as Pest and the single Winter Hat, which came out in 2024. With the big winter storm that happened the week prior and how much snow and ice we’ve been getting in Chicago lately, it was still a huge turnout. The whole room was filled up, and they said that it was a surprise to see this many people come, given the bad weather.
Where the Earth Bends explores personal experiences and emotional turmoils, and explores the deepest parts of their life. Throughout the show, you can really hear that raw emotion coming through each song. Songs like Habit explore their struggles with OCD. Every song had a personal meaning, even the song about their dog, which the audience found funny. Overall, it was a beautiful and energetic night of music that made the whole show incredible.
